Alumni
Welcome to the Joint Alumni Association website. The Joint Arnold Air Society, Angel Flight, and Silver Wings Alumni Association has made some exciting changes in 2003. First, we completed the “merger” of our organizations into one Alumni Association, called the Joint Alumni Association for short. Secondly, we formed a 501(c)3 Corporation named the AAS-SW Scholarship Fund, allowing us to accept tax-deductible donations to provide scholarships to the members of Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings. With the creation of these new organizations, we developed an Officer Staff for the Alumni Association and a Board of Directors for the Scholarship Fund. Click here for more details about the members of those staffs, brief job descriptions, and which positions are currently open or will be open for election during NATCON in April.
Joining
These changes to our organization will mean a change in the way will do business. To join the Alumni Association there will be a one-time fee of $15 to cover administrative expenses and the Arnold Air Society, Angel Flight and Silver Wings Alumni coin. You can join by filling out the Alumni Info Form in Microsoft Word (also in Acrobat format) and email to our President, Summer Smith.
AAS-SW Scholarship Fund
The AAS-SW Scholarship Fund will run completely on donations from Alumni and friends of our great organizations to supply academic scholarships, NATCON registration fee waivers, and large project grants to our current Arnold Air and Silver Wings members. We offered our first scholarships in 2005. We plan on continuing our Scholarships and need your help–so consider making a donation to the Fund when you become an Alumni Association member!
The staffs of the Alumni Association and AAS-SW Scholarship Fund invite you to invest in the future by becoming a member and donating to the Scholarship Fund. To make a donation write checks out to “AAS-SW Scholarship Fund”. Mail these to Executive Management Center, 9 E. Loockerman St., Suite 2B, Dover, DE 19901.
Alumni Staff Nominations
You may nominate yourself or another alumni member, with their permission, to any open position on our staff. Please send an e-mail briefly listing the person’s name, background, position desired, and qualifications. Nominations should be received no later than 1 April; however, we will take nominations from the floor during the Alumni Association Meeting at NATCON.
Information about staff positions, incumbent office-holders, and expirations of terms can be found on the Officers of the Alumni Association page.
