National President
Passion: All too often, members lose the passion that drove them to join Silver Wings in the first place. In order to curb those stagnant feelings we as current members and officers need to evoke the professional appeal and enhance individual’s desire and passion through community service and outreach. Be excited during meetings, do something different, bring in people from other organizations and campus professionals to talk about creating resumes, tips for interviewing, networking, etc. Hold creative meeting sessions, meet at a coffee shop or local restaurant and perhaps hold themed meetings. Create that desire people are looking for and be sure to get chapter feedback and feedback from the community to make sure that you are making a positive difference.
Diversity: Every community throughout the nation is diverse in its own unique way. Be sure to go out there and learn about your community and the people you affect through your service projects. Help them, help you. The only way that you will know if you are reaching every one you want is if you ask. Again, get feedback from your chapter members and community residence. Establish consistent contacts. Another component to reaching the community is making sure they know you are there to stay and you are reliable. Establishing numerous contacts just to get the job done will not help you in the long run. Make sure you are getting something out of your service project; it will show in your work ethic and dedication to the event.
Creativity: Just like it is hard to create passion among members, it is equally difficult to keep members dedicated and motivated about Silver Wings. Again, be creative in your recruitment and retention methods. Utilize chapter and squadron feedback. JOINT, JOINT, JOINT! I can not stress the importance of joint relations. Chapters and squadrons should be working together as much as possible. You will both benefit from the plethora of ideas generated by more individuals and it will help you achieve and have more success at your volunteer and social events. Communication is huge and it is an issue that has plagued our organization for years. This is the year to fix that: chapter members be sure you are submitting your reports and ideas to your REOs and REOs make sure you are meeting your suspense’s to your chapter members and to national staff. We all need to work together for the common good; we should not be competing with each other for the same goals! Unless we hear from you, we as national staff will have nothing to disseminate throughout the nation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: It is very important that you submit monthly awards. They are the only way we can recognize our outstanding Silver Wings members.
