Socials

Movie marathon: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, the movies of the 80’s brat pack all movies essential to growth and development as a college student. Relax for an evening and see who can recite all the lines to the classics.
Candidate social: Meet the candidates. Meet the candidates. Meet the candidates.
Bowling tournament: Bowling balls and rented shoes are always a recipe for success.
Halloween costume party: Did you know that your squadron commander makes a great giant gorilla? Regardless, costumes and candy never miss.
Scavenger hunt: This is a great idea for candidates and/or members. Plant people/objects around campus the goal could be for a team to get questions answered, signatures, etc.
Holiday white elephant gift exchange: Hmm, I always wanted a … well, what is that anyway? This is a great excuse to enjoy some camaraderie when finals are looming.
BBQs: The best part of that social is that it’s sure to attract more people, potential candidates and other Arnold Air Society or Silver Wings members.

Conclaves

ARCON: The best way to bond with your area! Find out what’s going on with the other squadrons or chapters, and hear about the state of the nation.
NATCON: If you want to interact with hundreds of other Arnies and have input on decisions that affect you in AAS, SW, and AFROTC, this is the place to be.

Meals on Wheels: This worthwhile and selfless organization ensures that thousands of Americans will get proper nutrition each day. For the branch near you, call 1-888-MEAL HELP.
National League of POW/MIA Families: The National League of POW/MIA Families sole purpose is to obtain the release of all prisoners, the fullest possible accounting for the missing and repatriation of all recoverable remains of those who died serving our nation during the Vietnam War. Points of Light Foundation: This organization has branches throughout the country, many of them in conjunction with the United Way. Their whole purpose is to motivate people to be volunteers and provide them with ways to do so.
